3 Days inside the Gorilla Kingdom.

 

This is definitely the time to experience mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. You will first visit the indigenous villages neighboring the gorilla kingdom and learn about the tradition and the Rwandan lifestyle. 

 

Day 0: Arrive at Kigali International 

 

Airport – Transfer to your Hotel

Meet and greet our tour guide/ driver who will shortly brief you about your tour in Rwanda and immediately transfer to Radisson Blu/Marriott Hotel for a friendly evening in the cleanest, green and most peaceful city of Africa: Kigali

 

Day 1: Drive to Volcano National Park and have fun in the Cultural Village

 

 

After breakfast served on the top high terrace of the Hotel, you will find your driver guide down in the parking standing nearby his clean and comfortable Safaris Car ready to take you to the biggest primates’ Kingdom, volcanoes National Park in the northwest part of Rwanda.

This drive is through beautiful rolling hills, bypassing maize, tea, and banana plantations on a comfortable paved road. It takes approximately 2.5 hours from Kigali to the last stop. 

Before checking in at Ingagi Park View Lodge. A short walk in the indigenous village neighboring the Park will be rich in traditional and cultural learning. Villagers are very welcoming and happy to receive new faces. The INTORE dancers are beautifully adorned, with spears in their dance, their hands, shoulders, and hips in rhythm from one side to another following the rhythm and sound of the drums, beads, and bells around feet and necks to welcome you as a groom or a bride. You will surely enjoy seeing these spectacular specialized dancers.

 

Dinner and sleep at the lodge

 

 

Day 2: Mountain Gorillas trekking

 

Wake up early, have breakfast, and report for briefing after, move in a company of experienced ranger guides through the forest while searching for mountain gorillas. Time is taken while searching for these great apes, between 2 to 3 hours depending on the movement of the gorilla groups therefore, move with your packed lunch, water, and tracking gear among others. Meet, chant, and enjoy their entertainment for one hour while taking photos for remembrance. Return to your lodge, relax shortly, and transfer to Musanze for an after-Gorillas-meeting drink and lunch.

Later afternoon, drive back to Kigali and check at Onomo Hotel

 

 

 

Day3 (Last Day): Kigali City Tour and fly back

 

From Onomo Hotel where you retired from the Volcano National Park the previous evening, you will meet your driver-guide down at the reception. After a short briefing about the day's activities, start driving some minutes to the Kigali Genocide Memorial and get to learn about the recent and bloodiest genocide of humanity.

During the Kigali city tour, you will have a chance to enter the parliament building which hosts the “Campaign against Genocide” museum, and experiences how soldiers led by President Paul Kagame have been able to stop the genocide. Later on, stop over at the restaurant downtown for lunch.

After lunch, continue the city tour and Visit the Kimironko local Market before checking in at the airport for flying back.
